QUESTIONS
What can you expect from the Global Markets Academy?
The investment bank global markets academy gives you the practical
experience and role specific knowledge you need to secure the most coveted markets roles.
The Academy starts with a deep dive into the structure of the investment bank trading desk, market
structures and role objectives before you take the advanced Investment Bank Sales and Trading
simulation.
In the simulation you receive roles specific training as a market maker and sales trader.
As a market maker you learn how to skew your price to reflect the banks risk, and therefore encourage
client flow. You also learn how to pre-position on expected client flow.
As a sales trader you learn how to leverage your client relationships to achieve cross trades which both
maximise commission and limit risk simultaneously.
The CV impact this experience can have is hard to overstate if you are looking for a role on the markets
side of an investment bank.
After the simulation you will then access our deep catalogue of key theory related to the role.
Is there a cost to this academy?
Yes, each academy has a cost which can be seen on checkout. This can be fully refunded for all those that join the summer programme.
How do I get fast-tracked?
High potential candidates identified in both buy-side and sell side roles are contacted by the AmplifyME team to request permission to recommend directly to an institution. In 2021 we recommended over 100 students to be fast-tracked for internship opportunities.
How do I take part?
You can start immediately with all the on-demand content. Once in the academy you can then book the simulation date that works for you best.
How long will it take?
The academy is split into three experiences. Pre simulation learning (1 hour), Simulation (2 hours), On-demand continued learning 8 hours of content.
