What programme did you do at Amplify Trading?

I completed the six week Internship Training Programme in August 2017.

How did you find the internship training programme?

It was an engaging way of gaining insight into trading and financial markets. The structure of the programme was so well balanced that it provided not only training in intra-day trading, but also exposed you to simulations of FlowTrader in Hedge Fund, Investment Banking and Portfolio Management scenarios. These were fantastic experiences because it allowed me to learn the interaction of the buy and sell side, as well as appreciate the different types of trades and traders acting in the financial markets.
The lectures taught me different aspects that come hand-in-hand with trading. This includes various asset classes and the importance of their correlations, as well as the influence of psychology during trading and how this should not be underestimated. By being able to put the lectures into practice, I learnt how to trade news outbreaks and data releases effectively. The combination of learning through lectures with the day-to-day practical experience has given me skills that I do not think I would have received elsewhere so early on in my career.

How has Amplify Trading helped in your career development?

The programme presented the opportunity for me to combine the macroeconomic knowledge that I obtained from university with the chance to experience the market environment in real time. The daily feedback that I received helped me improve my performance and technical understanding of the markets significantly. Amplify Trading offered support for preparation in interviews and there are many chances for networking with professionals and peers. Lastly, the programme has helped me identify the direction I want to follow in the finance industry.

Why did you choose Amplify Trading?

I found Amplify Trading by researching online. Reading its reviews and seeing how much recognition it has received made me keen on taking the course.

Would you recommend Amplify Trading to a friend?

Definitely! I already have recommended it to friends. I think the course is invaluable and Amplify Trading is a great starting platform for anyone who wants to develop their knowledge in trading.

What is your goal after completing the course?

I am currently in the process of applying for spring week programmes and a placement year for 2018.
